Masks and Symmetry
This picture was taken from Bubsy's window. We were hanging out in his room (I forget what we were doing, probably playing video games or watching YouTube or a movie), and I'd been taking lots of photos that day, so I decided to take some right then and there. It doesn't show through very well with the mask, but unmasked, I upped the colors in a way that I think made it turn out pretty nicely.
"Outside Your Window"
This picture was taken as my dad drove me and my sister home from school. (I'm old enough that I could get a driver's license myself if I wanted, but I've always thought I'd accidentally mess up somehow and end up hurting someone, so I've put it off.) I accidentally got more than just the tree in the unmasking process, but I kind of like the way the sky is more colorful in the middle than the outsides.
"Take to the Highway"
This picture was taken right before I walked onto my house's porch. I often go with my mom to her second job (her first job is teaching), where she does accounting for a concrete company, and this was one such night. I think I've mentioned this before, but I'm very fond of the way things look at night, especially when I'm feeling moody, which I was at the time I took this photo.
"The Way Back Home"
This picture was taken as I went to the car. I'd been visiting my grandparents to celebrate my grandma's birthday up to that point, and something caught my eye as I walked. I think it's pretty interesting how many minor things you might notice that turn out to make good photography material.
"Threshold of Shadows"
This was taken at the same time as the above photo, at my grandparents' house. Over the summer, I think, they moved out of their old house. This was from their new house; it's a bit bittersweet, since I really liked their old house, but their old house had too many stairs for them, so it had to happen, more or less. Oh, well.
